KiezCode GmbH is committed to making its digital services particularly the website www.mealjam.com and the associated web and mobile applications accessible in accordance with applicable national and European accessibility regulations.

1. Applicable Standards
The accessibility of our digital services is guided by the following standards:

  • WCAG 2.1 - Level AA (Web1 Content Accessibility Guidelines)

  • Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) - German Accessibility Enhancement Act

  • EU Directive 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications

Our platform already meets essential parts of these requirements.


2. Our Understanding of Accessibility
We aim to ensure that everyone regardless of physical or technical circumstances can use Mealjam without limitations.


This includes:

  • Regular reviews and improvements of accessibility

  • Training our team to raise awareness of accessible design

  • Involving experts and users with special needs in our development processes

  • Clear, easy-to-understand language in texts and descriptions

  • Developing new features with a focus on intuitive usability

3. Current Implementation Status
Mealjam is currently undergoing continuous development. We have already implemented measures to reduce barriers.
As our platform evolves, new features will be gradually adapted to meet current accessibility requirements.


4. Areas with Limited Accessibility
Despite our efforts, some areas may still present accessibility barriers.

 

These include:

  • Older content or prototypes created before the introduction of accessibility guidelines

  • External content or third-party plugins over which we have only limited control

We are continuously working to eliminate these limitations and improve accessibility for all users.
